GINGERBREAD PROTEIN OATS
Vegan, gluten-free, paleo-friendly
With all the warming spices, this oats meal brings to mind the old-fashioned gingerbread and it’s a nourishing way to start your day esp. on a cold rainy day! The blue colour comes from Butterfly Pea Powder which is completely optional. I have been adding hemp seeds to my morning porridge because I love their nutty taste, plus they are packed with plant protein, healthy fats and minerals – giving you sustaining energy for the day! Ingredients:
- ½ cup rolled oats
- 1 cup non-dairy milk
- 1 tsp fresh grated ginger or ½ tsp ground ginger
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 serving Royal Hemp naturally sweetened vanilla protein powder Buy Now
- 1 tbsp Royal Hemp Hemp seeds, plus more for topping Buy Now

Directions:
- Combine oats and milk in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to medium, stir frequently, and cook until oats begin to thicken.
- IMPORTANT! Leave the oats a LITTLE runnier than you usually would as you want to add the Protein powder in!
- Remove from heat, stir in hemp seeds, protein powder and ENJOY your creamy PROATS! Serve with toppings e.g. fresh fruits, granola, nuts or seeds (pictured: chocolate, granola, hemp seeds)
