Açaí berries – a gift from the Amazon.
The Amazon rainforest is quite possibly the Earth’s greatest natural resource. Not only acting as the lungs of the world and teeming with biodiversity, but now one of its best natural food sources has come to the fore in recent years– the açaí berry.
Açaí berries are deep purple in colour and look like a cross between a blueberry and a grape. And their health benefits are eye-wideningly good!
The phrase “super-food” tends to get thrown round a lot. However, with the açaí berry, this is quite possibly the absolute real deal when it comes to that measure.
And here are six reasons why:
Açaí berries are absolutely loaded with antioxidants. Antioxidants are key in helping your body fight off harmful particles otherwise known as free radicals. Just another reason why açaí berries are up there as a genuine super-food.

And it’s not all the heart and the gut that get to benefit from the açaí berry – the brain gets to benefit too. Recent studies have indicated that açaí berries may also have a significant beneficial effect on cognitive ability, including helping to counter memory loss as we age.
A berry for the bedroom:
Another açaí berry bonus is that there are suggestions that it can help improve sexual libido. The theory is that the berry helps to increase the body’s flow over time – with all that that entails for those more private moments.
